Crawford Recognized for 2003 Safety Performance, Award is Third in Past Four Years

Crawford Company was recognized for Excellence in Safety by the Millennium Captive Insurance Company, today, with an award for safe practices in 2003.  The award was Crawford's third in the past four years for "outstanding safety performance and zero lost-time accidents."  Crawford also received the recognition in 2002 and 2000. 

Crawford had zero lost-time accidents with over 124,000 hours worked in 2003.

"Significant strides, with regard to safety, have been made within our industry and many contractors have steadily improved safe practices in the workplace," said Robert Frink, Crawford President.  "We are genuinely excited to receive recognition.  We are fortunate to have experienced and knowledgeable employees that pay close attention to safety."

Crawford was recognized, nationally, for safety last year.  Crawford finished third in SMACNA's (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association) safety program for working over 134,000 hours, in 2002, with zero injury incidents.

Crawford Company specializes in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, laser cutting, specialty welded fabrication, and custom architectural products.  Crawford operates out of a 47,000-square foot facility in Rock Island's Sunset Business Park.  The company has one subsidiary, DSP Monoxivent, and one affiliate, MillStreet, at the location.
